Who doesn’t love a party? Especially when the people closest to you in the world are with you. Well, I had a Bat Mitzvah party right after the service. I got to plan the whole thing with my Mom. I didn’t realize all the details involved in organizing such an affair, but now I know why Excel spreadsheets were invented (LOL!)
The party was a luncheon held directly after the service. We had karaoke singing and a one-man band for entertainment. We played limbo, musical chairs, and had lots and lots of music. My friends and I were dancing like crazy! Some things never get old.
At the party, Daniel gave me a toast. I’d elaborate, but, well, you know how older brothers can be. We had a candle lighting ceremony, where I honored those dearest to me by calling them up to light the candles on the cake. Some of my honorees could not attend, but I know they were there in spirit!
I miss it so much…thinking of the day always puts a smile on my face. Take a look at my photo galleries (awesome job, Rich!) and you will see how much fun everyone had, especially me!
