Dear Tamara,

Your Bat MitzVAH was a blast! I was so proud of you after all that hard work these past months!! I know how excited and ecstatic you were, as well as I was, February 10 2007. I hope you remember this day for the rest of your life (wait, stupid Mary, of course you will!!!). Out of my many extravagant Bat Mitzvahs, your Bat was one of the ones on top of the cake (uh oh I was sweating all over him (lol (hint hint (I'm jk Ms. Hass!!!))) Anyways you did such a great job. You're an awesome girl. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was wonderful to be at your Bat Mitzvah and party. You brought a spirit of joy to your Torah, haftorah readings and D'var Torah. I was proud to be included in the ceremony and your special poem.

I just finished watching the video of Tamara’s Bat Mitzvah, shot by my friend Denise. I’m planning to transfer portions to this site, because it clearly captures Tamara’s wonderful attitude and how special this day was for her.

Tamara looked beautiful as usual but especially memorable with her exquisitely coiffed hair and dangling earrings (thanks, Judy!) She made everything look easy, belying months of practice, and even took it in stride when her young Cousin Jake decided to coincide his “roaring” practice with the start of her Torah reading.

I can’t say it enough…Tamara, I’m so proud of you (and so very grateful for those first two Bloody Marys!)
